About Jaylyn

We are excited to announce the Grand Opening of MiscMen, a new process service company performing in Montgomery and Harris counties and outlying areas. I am Jaylyn Hamm and I want to be your Server.

I was born in Houston, TX in 1984 and have lived in Montgomery County my entire life. I graduated as a Tiger from Conroe High School in 2002 and went into the workforce with little experience. I've done several things over my work career, but my most challenging and rewarding tenure was the time spent with my family's company, Hamm's Flooring in Conroe. At the time I started the company had already existed for nearly 35 years and I am blessed to have spent a little over 15 years there learning about business. It wasn't all about flooring though. I was taught how professionals operate in a market environment to provide customer service at the highest possible level while simultaneously instructed on the inner workings of a corporation. I used to joke that I started on the weed-eater but in reality it was the truth. I went from maintenance to warehousing to finance to sales then on to management. When I turned 35-ish I started to really contemplate what the next half of my life would look like and decided I wanted to build a business of my own. The family business and I parted ways amicably and I set out to find what this next chapter was going to be. I began building the MiscMen Model.

That is when I Met Diana.

About Diana

I have discovered that autobiographical writing presents a unique set of challenges; so please allow me to share a parable which has guided my life.

"An old man and his grandson were walking along the seashore after a violent storm. As far as the eye could see, the beach was littered with stranded starfish. As they walked along, the boy picked up a starfish and gently tossed it into the waves. The old man asked why he was doing this, as the beach went on for miles and there were thousands of starfish which would dry out and die in the sun. What possible difference could he make? The boy looked up at his grandfather as he tenderly tossed another starfish into the waiting sea. It makes a difference to this one." Unknown.

Through three seemingly disparate careers, Case Manager, Paramedic and Emergency Room nurse, this has been my guiding principle, to make a difference. But not only a difference, a positive change, one person at a time. I retired seven years ago and my husband, Bill Davis, created Glasshouse Process Servers. We worked as partners and followed a non-adversarial approach to the delivery of process; instead of the TV portrayal of sneaking up on someone and thrusting the documents at them and shouting, "You've been served". We treated the serves as an integral part of the Justice System, in which everyone has rights. Tragically, a massive stroke ended Bill's life on February 21, 2024. A year later, I met Jaylyn, the son of one of my best friends who was interested in becoming a process server. We decided to start a new company, MiscMen, and continue assisting those in the judicial system.
